Brie Milam (b. 1988) is a watercolor and abstract artist based in Dallas, Texas, working from her home studio, The Treehouse.
Drawing inspiration from daily walks, meditation, solo road trips, and close observation of the natural world, Brie turns fleeting moments into dreamlike landscapes and expressive abstractions.
Rather than aiming for realism, Brie is interested in capturing the feeling of a place, letting emotion and intuition guide her work. Her work often depicts real and imagined locations that feel familiar, reflecting the way memory and perception shape what we see and remember. Each piece is meant to act as a subtle mirror, an invitation to slow down, to notice, and to see something of yourself reflected back through the work.
Alongside her studio practice, Brie teaches creative workshops that allow students to reconnect with their creativity and curiosity by practicing mindfulness while learning new painting techniques.
