Untamed Landscapes:
Impressions of North Texas
An Exhibition of Watercolors & Paintings

I am thrilled to announce that my debut solo exhibition opens to the public on Friday, October 6, 2023, for one night only. Please join me from 5-8 pm for an artist talk starting at 5:15pm, followed by a reception. All works will be on view and available to collectors.
'Untamed Landscapes: Impressions of North Texas' presents 12 watercolor landscapes and 3 acrylic works on canvas that capture the bucolic and idyllic beauty of North Texas. Inspired by a solo retreat just outside of Waco, these works arose from a desire to convey the rustic, natural beauty of North Texas—its rolling fields, expansive skies and pastel palette.
The landscapes presented in this exhibition are nostalgic on multiple levels. Growing up in this region, these scenes are synonymous with my childhood, my memories and, in a way, are part of my essence. In this sense, some of the works in the exhibition are inspired by reality—direct results from plein air paintings and sketches made on this particular trip. Others are completely imagined. An amalgamation of memory and fantasy; a dreamy hybrid between the Tuscan countryside, British moors and Texan plains. A place that doesn’t really exist, but inhabits my mind, as real as anything else.
“Here can be anywhere.”
